In music to "ritard" is to gradually slow the tempo. It works in life, too: do something wickedly wonderful that makes everything stop til you get yourself together. Laugh yourself silly and drag others along with you!
So, did you bring a couple of cases of tangerines to the farm to keep people busy? I wonder what a tangerine would look like if you put a fire cracker into it? ;)
