In music to "ritard" is to gradually slow the tempo. It works in life, too: do something wickedly wonderful that makes everything stop til you get yourself together. Laugh yourself silly and drag others along with you!

Epic - Slinky on a Treadmill
I didn't think I'd watch all 3+ minutes of this, but I started worrying that Slinky would topple off the treadmill. Nobody wants to see the hero in a epic fail...
It's so wild. It's almost as if it has a mind behind it. As it would do things like go over to the edge to "catch up", I had to remind myself that this does not have a remote control attached. The spring was just obeying the laws of physics. That video would be great for a science class.
