In music to "ritard" is to gradually slow the tempo. It works in life, too: do something wickedly wonderful that makes everything stop til you get yourself together. Laugh yourself silly and drag others along with you!
I hope they get enough pledges to begin production, although I bet it could be replicated with wire (and math to get the angle correct)and duct tape. There's ALWAYS duct tape in cool projects.
