In music to "ritard" is to gradually slow the tempo. It works in life, too: do something wickedly wonderful that makes everything stop til you get yourself together. Laugh yourself silly and drag others along with you!

Weird Al, Alice Cooper, & Steven Tyler walk into a bar...
New Year's Eve 2012. One of those pairings you think happened but you might have been too wasted to be seeing clearly turns out to be true. Huh.
Two things: 1) The full screen quality is actually quite good. You can tell for sure that those are really the guys and not some impersonators. 2) Alice is reading the lyrics of a classic Beatles song in a night club. Not that they aren't strange lyric, but still. I'm just saying. ;)
