In music to "ritard" is to gradually slow the tempo. It works in life, too: do something wickedly wonderful that makes everything stop til you get yourself together. Laugh yourself silly and drag others along with you!

The Awkward Truth
Admit it. Weirdness may make things awkward but without it we'd be boring.
If only weirdness were celebrated more instead of condemned. Then we could enjoy infinite variety that weirdness allows. (At least the weirdness that isn't dangerous ... and I'm not talking about your obsession with fireworks or chocolate cake. lol)
P.S. I got the "infinite variety" term from Lady Violet, the Dowager Countess of Grantham in Downton Abbey as portrayed by Maggie Smith. A delightfully eccentric character if there ever was one. ;)
