In music to "ritard" is to gradually slow the tempo. It works in life, too: do something wickedly wonderful that makes everything stop til you get yourself together. Laugh yourself silly and drag others along with you!
I never realized something. I figured out the flaw in the Grinch's plan. He forgot to steal the Christmas bells. That would have put a damper on all that pesky singing. But, it's really for the best. He'd have made it to the top of Mount Crumpet with all the extra weight. LOL ;)
