In music to "ritard" is to gradually slow the tempo. It works in life, too: do something wickedly wonderful that makes everything stop til you get yourself together. Laugh yourself silly and drag others along with you!

Yes, it's another video of kittens chasing a laser beam. Yawn. And I totally agree. But WAIT! There's a dramatic soundtrack embedded....thus proving my point that live would be so much better if it came with background music.
