In music to "ritard" is to gradually slow the tempo. It works in life, too: do something wickedly wonderful that makes everything stop til you get yourself together. Laugh yourself silly and drag others along with you!

Actually, it was only a lame typo, that I thought I could fix and repost. But I like your thinking!!!
When I first watched the vid it made me giggle that in the time it takes me to balance the checkbook some math nerd did my family tree back to dinosaurs.

Not so surprising really from a Darwinian perspective, and if I was a fundamentalist Christian it would be a no-brainer, cousin! ;)
