In music to "ritard" is to gradually slow the tempo. It works in life, too: do something wickedly wonderful that makes everything stop til you get yourself together. Laugh yourself silly and drag others along with you!

Kumi Yamashita's Shadow Origami
She's taken shadows from real people, and using one solid piece of paper, made them replicate that shadow! All she's done is "rumple" the paper's edge and manipulate the light...man, that's serious skill. Check out her web page here.
