In music to "ritard" is to gradually slow the tempo. It works in life, too: do something wickedly wonderful that makes everything stop til you get yourself together. Laugh yourself silly and drag others along with you!
Simply amazing. What I think that wins them the Golden Gleetard is not the record. That's fantastic, and they get into the world record books for that. What I think wins them the Golden Gleetard is the excitement that they have about paper airplanes. :)
