In music to "ritard" is to gradually slow the tempo. It works in life, too: do something wickedly wonderful that makes everything stop til you get yourself together. Laugh yourself silly and drag others along with you!

Jarbas Agnelli's "Birds On The Wires"
I love how Mr. Agnelli's mind works. He saw a photo of birds on a wire and made it into music. The world needs more people like Jarbas: folks who see the world a little differently from the rest of us and take the time to show us what we're missing.
